St. James is by Leolinus, out of Pungawerewero, and is a half brother to Craekshot, who won the Wellington Cup and Auckland Cup, and who stands at the head of winners for this season in New Zealand ; so all out of his dam can gallop. Tktforij won Wanganui Cup, beating Waitiri, Silence, Pasha, Libeller, and' other good horses ; beat same horses next day in Wanganui Stakes, mile and α-half (9st 7lbs in the saddle). Won Fra Handicap, one mile, Plate Handicap and Flying Handicap Thames Meeting; won Victoria Hamli* cap, one mile and a distance, in lmin. 58i sees., beating Antelope and eight others, at the Auckland Summer Meeting.
