(BY KLKOTWC TELKGKAI'H.—COPYRIGHT. Hoxo Koxu, December .'5. The Chinese Government denies that priests were murdered at Taku. The rebels are not Mongols, but are a number of Chinese secret societies. The Government allege that the atrocities atTakn were committed by some 1000 marauders, who wore prompted by a desire of plunder, and declare that the accounts of the outrage have been greatly exaggerated. Buussels, December 3. Private telegrams received in the city state that the priests connected with the Taku missions were not massacred, but escaped to the mountains. Lo>"DO?r, December 3. The Queen has approved of tho formation of a corps of native Indian infantry for service in Hongkong. Paris, December 3. The German Government is disinclined to land troops in China and tho success of the French efforts to obtain united action of the Powers in the matter is doubtful.
