CRICKET.

The Paterangi Cricket Club had an splendid practice on Saturday last, after which a meeting of the Selection Committee was held, and the following were choosen to play in the match against Hamilton, which will be played in Mr J. H. Scott's paddock at Paterangi on Saturday next ; Maofarlane, Worsley, Aubin, Bowden (2), Higginson, Xabbs, Potts, Macky. Rybuvn, and The above players are requested to be on the ground early, as the match will commence at 11 a.m. Others who intend joing the club should send their names to the secretary at once, in order that they may be enrolled and get a chance off playing in some of the coming matches.

The Association matches for Saturday are : Tuliikarame;i v. Cambridge at Hamilton, and Hamilton v. Paterangi at Paterangi, The team to represent Hamilton will be:—Fielder, Browning, Stevens, Smith, Peako, von Stunner (captiin), Barton, Eweo, T. G. Sandes, Nickisson, Gillett, Stougie. Tuhikur«.in»a's team will be picked from Mar-idon, S. Reid, N. Reid, Alexander, Drabble, Hodgson, Lang (captain), A. Livingston, \V. Livingston, McMicken, H, Jack. A meetiug of the Waikato Cricket Association will be held aft r the match on Sydney Square on Saturday, when matters of importance will be discussed, including the arrangements for an Auckland match on Xew Year's Day.

A four-in-hand br.ike will leave the Hamilton Hotel at 9 o'clock on S.-it'irlay morning to convoy the Hamilton team and \ lailord to P.iteraugi.
