About 1000 sacks of old ones worked/>tf at from Is; to 2s per sack. New potatoes : Fully 40 tone entered : all cleared ; Shepherd's Is 6d to 3s Gd ; kidneys, 2s (id to ss. Of this quantity 15 tons were shipped to the islands. New onions have been in good Rupply, and realised from 2il to 3d per lb. There is a good demand for well-dried lots. Oats : Local, discoloured, Is 01 to Is 10 1 : Southern, short feed, 2s 4d to 2s fid. Wheat: Good fowl feed, la 3d to 4s -Id ; barley, 2s -Id to 2s OJ, Maizo. All lots to hand sold at auction at 2.s 3d per bushel. Vegetables staged in largo quantities. Green peas, GJd to lid ; broad beans, 5d to 8d ; French beans, Is 9d to 2s per peck ; rhubarb, 3s to 7s 0d per dozen. Butter: Fresh entered in large quantities; prime fresh, (id toGJd ; medium, Gd to 5Jd : corned butter, upwards of 100 kegs to hand during the week found immediate pale, and the demand is still unlimited at Gd to 7d according to quality, packing, and packases. Egg 3 have been in good supply, and sold at 7.W to 8d for hen eggs, and 8d to !)d for duck eggs. Honey, new, sect ion, 3s 3d to 4s per dozen. Bacon and hams iiiittod in heavy parcels ; prime bacou. In local fruit the supplies have been'large ; fully 820 boxes of gooseberries were received weighing about 10 tons, of which not more than 5 cwt were brought by jam factories, they being able to import cheaper than auction rates.
