Johnson said Mr Mcßea wanted the piece of road to be provod illegal in order that the Council might bo forced into taking a road through Mr Muir's land. The engineer was instructed lo write such a letter to the Council as might be sent to the Chief Surveyor for hi.-, final opinion. Cr.
