TAOTAOROA KOAD BOAItD. 'f UK above Board tact at Cainbridgu "ii Saturday. Present: S. Sedden (chairman), H. T?. Brunskill and W. F. Buck land, M.H.It. The minutes of the previous meetitiff woro read and duly contirmed. PtiKKTL'TU Road.—Mr Buekland said tlie repairs to this road had been well executed, with the exception of the cutting at the foot of the big hill— near Ellis' old utockyard, the ends of which had been left too narrow. The Chairman agreed with Mr iluuklaud's remarks. The cost of remedying tho defect would only be about £3, and as £15 had been voted for work on this road, it could be dona without exceeding that sum.—This and another little matter nil the summit of tho hill were left to the discretion of tho Chairman and Mr Turnor to have the requisite work done. Daikyino.—A number of rcimrlu mi tho season's work of the daries of Xe*v Zealand by John 3awers, Goverament Instructor, were received.
No Mebtixi; in Dkcemdkk.—lt was resolved not to hold a ineeing of the Board next month, as it would be closu to the Christiana Holidays. Accounts.—Tlioro were only Iwoaccouuk, passed for payment, viz., Geo. Wutluin, A'L 10s ; Thou. Wattam ISs. The GourON Gravel Pit.—Mr liruu skill said the Hoard must look after tlieit ritfht to take gravel from this pit, as lih saw the County Council were going to acquire it.—The Chairman said it waa too late for it had been conveyed to the Couuuil. However, lie did not think that the B )ard would ever be refused what littlo gravel they required. This was all the business. CAMIUUDOE KOAD UOAIID. The ineeting|of this Board lapsed for waul of a quorum, uuly tho chairman (Mr Forrest) beinq piesent.—An inteiim cheque for £10 was paid to Wattam and Crouch for work duno on the Feucourt road. It ih piuoititf htraiiKe that uuly tlie Chairman was present, for lie had taken the trouble to uotify each member per post card, that he should bring up the matter ot Hospital contribution, and wished a full attendance. As Artcmus Ward would say: Why this thusness ?
