NEW ELECTORAL DISTRICTS.
The Representation Commissioners concluded their labours at Wellington on Wednesday, having disposed finally of tho objections made to the boundaries "f the new electorates in some cases, and to the naming of them in other:-. None of the objections represented any serious dilliculty. Tho name of the Waitotara district is changed to Patua, and the East Coast to Wainpu. In the Sooth Island, Kakaia is changed to Ashburton, and Dunedin North becomes Chalmers. The boundaries of the Waikato and Waipa districts have been altered in accordance with the suggestions of the resident settlers. Slight alterations are made in the new electorates of Grey, Wostland, Lyttelton, Kllesmcre, Selwyn, Wakatipu, Tuapeku, Uruce and Clutha. Tho Commissioners' rep >rt g i \s straight to the Governor, and the particulars of the new electorates cannot be known to the public until forwarded by Ilis Excellency to the Premier.
We understand the alterations in the boundaries of the Electoral Districts of Waipa and Waikato, which from the forelifting have been accepted by the Commissioners, were suggested by the Waipa County Council, and met. with the approval of the Cambridge Borough and I'iako County local authorities. The amended boundaries will be much more satisfactory, corresponding very nearly with the old Waikato and Waipa Electorates beforo they wore merged, Waipa Electorate will now include Raglan County and the Mangatawhiri Riding, Piako County and E-ist Tanpo being cut off and added to the Waikato Electorate, so that practically the Waikato River will bo the boundary as afort, time.
