Oil Friday, horse stock, in usual number, kept their prices. There was an unsatisfied demand for young horses suitable for coaching. Prices for stock of this description ranged from ,£lO 10s to I'M each ; secondhand spring carts brought respectively til to L'l-. At the hide and skin sale on Wednesday lute values wen; obtained. Sound ox ranged from 3d to ; cow, 2.', d to _;d ; calf, 5d to 7{d ; tallow, IBs the cwt; fresh sheepskins, 3s fid to us (id; pelts, 7d to Is; lamb skins, 0d to Is 8d each ; wool, 5d to 7\d ; locks and pieces, "d to Id tho lb. At Remuera, on Thursday, dairy cattlo in usual numbers kept their values. Prices fur good animals at their profit varied from £1 to £5 ss. Store cattle plentiful, and sold freely at sale values, particularly young cattle. Fat cntrlo in usual number; 2"3 yarded were required. Prices for steers were steady at 18s the, 1001 bs. Cows from 13s to 15s. Calves, abundant, wore better worth, for young cilvns are again bought for rearing. Shorn sheep yarded in full number ; 1040 nold kept la:-t week's values. Longwoolled wethers brought from 14s to lfts ; crossbred, lis to lis ; envps, !ls to 15s each. Fat lambs in fair numbers ; 310 sold were all required, and fully last week's values sustained, prices ranging from 8s !)d to lis each. Pigs generally of good quality were more plentiful than of late, and of better enquiry; porkers trorn 701b to 1101b dead weight brought from 15s to 2"hc. mh. Tho Devon boll advertised brought £7; Alderney bull, £t Is; priz'l oxen, t'L3; wethers, 17s to 1!)< ; ewes, M- e icli.
