AN AGRICULTURAL SHOW FOR WAIKATO.

TO TUB EDITOR. Sir,—ln looking over the notices of motion given at the last meeting of the Waikato Farmers Club, I see one of more than ordinary importance, viz., that a general agricultural show f«r Waikato, bo held in Cnmbridge, in 1802. Will the stock owners and farmers turn up at that meeting, so that the subject may be thoroughly discussed, It is a large question, and the Club has members in all parts of which is known as Waikato, and those that are not members ought to be, and can be if they only ask some member to propose them, and can then take part in the said meeting on that evening. The questions are, has the time arrived for a Waikato show; are we as a whole prepared do our best to make it a success, and where the show should be held. Ido not think the subject should be left to be settled by an entirely Cambridge community. To make a Waikato show a success stockowners from all parts of the district must contribute, and those that propose to exhibit should certainly be those who should find the locality where the show should be held. The importance of the subject must be my excuse for tresspassing upon yoi'r space. I desire that these questions shall be decided from a broad and general point of view. Better for to defer the holding of a show unless the whole district enters heartily into the project.—l am, etc. Abvanok Waikato.
