OUR SINGLE TAX FRIENDS.
TO THE EDITOR. Srn,—No one has shown that my statement was incorrect so far as re?ards the benefit the single tax would be to the small farmers generally. " Workingman " goes into a lot of rod.imontade about the workingmana willingness to pay his share of tuxatinn. I never questioned his willingness. Tho object of my letter was to show the fallacy of the reiterated statements that the single tax would crush the small farmers out of existence. So far I have accomplished my purpose.—Yours truly, John Pauii. to the editor. Sir,-When "One of the Co." puts forward anything that calls tor an answer, I will endeavour to do so as best I can, but thu fluffy nothings in his lettpr of baturday cannot be said to need u reply. 1 read it backwards and forwards, and would have turned it inside out only it had no inside, so I pave it up. I can only therefore recommend him to study some standard work on the question of Meum and Tuum. If his favourite author (Voltaire) does not deal exhaustively with the subject, why, then, for a few pence lie can obtain a roliable authority, a little old-fashioned perhaps, but on which England's greatness is ofteu said to be founded.—l am, &c, Working man.
