President Harrison is delighted at the return of McKinley for the Ohio seat. The Democrats in the Now York State are said to have reported extensively to bribery in ordur to further thp interests of their candidates. The farmers in Ohio did not vote for McKinley. W-VsirixoTOX, November o.
The result of the election is considered indicative that in future neither republicans nor democrats will advocate the free coinage of silver to an unlimited extent.
President Harrison interprets Majoi McKinley's election as a conclnsivi endorsement of the tariff introduce*' by him.
