Store cows met ready sale, and a large number sold. .Fat cattlo wero inefficient for requirements, mid good prices, ruled. AUCKLAND LIVE STOCK MARKETS. Messrs Ai.fkkd Bcckland and Sons' Weekly Kkport,—At the Haymarket during tko past week oaten sheaves have kopt their lato prices, but meadow hay was almost unsaleable. For Little's sheep dip and woolpacks there is an increasing inquiry. Maize at 2s and 2s Id the bushel; chaff, £2 15s to £3 10s the ton ; oatmeal, 8a (id the owt were tho prices obtained, On Friday horso stock, yarded numerously, wero dull of salo, but Rood animals kept their values. Activo harness horsesranged from £10 to £15 ; hacks, from £2 to £7 ; privately a lady's riding horse, £30. At Pukekohe, on Monday, a very full supply of cattle wore in request throughout the sale at fully iato values. On Tuesday, at the Haymarket, hides sold freely at late quotations. At Remuera, on Tursday, dairy cattle were in better inquiry and sold freely. Prices ranged from £3 for heifers to i's 10s for best cows. Store cattle in limited numbers kept their late values. I'at cattle in usual supply, 240 sold ; ateers were in steady demand throughout, at from 17s to IKs the 1001b, but coarse cows fell towards end of sale from 5s to 10s each. Calves in less than usual numbers, scarcely kept their late values. Sheep in full numbers sold satisfactorily ; store half bred owes in their wool, 12e; lungwoolled ewe lambn, Ilia !)d the couple ; fat wethers, shorn, 13n lid to ICj 6d ; ewes, 12s to 16s each, 1100 yarded. Fat tombs wore better worth, pricea ranged from 8s b'd to 15s (id each, 19f> sold. Pigs in usual supply, wore lower in price.
Meksjw Hunter and Nolan's Report. —Grain, deed, horaefeed, etc. : Supplies havo been ample tor requirements, ami the demand steady. Wβ quota : Feed oats, Is lOd to 2n -Id por bnshel; maize, 2a ti> 2s SJd ; bran, £4 5s to £4 10-i per ton ; oaten chaff, £2 10< to £2 2s 6d. Horses have been in good demand, and those of a decent Btainp found ready ealo at fully tho proviolin weok'H values. A pood many were submitted by auction at the Durham Yards on Friday, and competition was good. Hacks, ut from £1 15s to i>2o; light harness horses, £■"> 10s to £14 10s; medium draught, £7 10s to £11! 15s. Wool, hides, skins, tallow, bones, etc. : As the season son advances, more wool in bales has been brought forward. On Tuesday at the Durham wool store, bales of crossbred greasy sold at from O.fd to 7d per lb. Cattle: Quite average numbers of all descriptions havo been otfered for sale, and found purchasers at the previous week's values. The Newmarket Yards were fairly well filled on Tuesday, and bidding was brisk throughout, Wo quote: Weaners, 15s to 25a each ; yearling, 61 to £1 10s ; 18-month to 2-year old steers, £110s to £2 18s; 3-year old. £1 10* to £3 10s ; grown steers, t'4 tn £5 2s Gd ; dry cows, £2 5s to £3 Ms Gd; dairy cows, £3 10s to £5 10s; beef, 10s to ISs Gd per 1001b.
