Since tho strike ended the company have received and dis'.-atched laren orders for their best class of poods. Thev have introduced several new lines, the first of which is a " Ladijs' glove Oxford shoe, named the "Alpha." This is a graceful and easy foot covering and is sure to he a favourite with our lady friends. A naw shoo has also been made for Maori wahines' wear which has been called the " Wliakamatauri." It is a first-rate article and will no doubt have many admirers amongst tho dusky belles, Notwithstanding Hlukospearo's famous query of " What's in a name?" wo may say, apropos of this title, there is a good deil in it indeed but there will be more in the shoe. Some novelties are being got up in what is known as high class goods made from Woo/.e's calf. This is a new aud wonderfully dressed leather in various colours, a shoe made fn>m this leather is a beauty. Onosideof the material in it resembles brown morocco while the inside is like velvet. The shoe is made so as to combine taste, elegance, and comfort. From the list of leathers mentioned in the company's advertisement it will bo scin that thijy have not only the power but the means to turn out work of tho first order equal to tho best manufactured goods anywhere, in most lines; and m some, superior; especially now the strike is over. As Mr Hndtrson, the able and active mauager, and tho directors have ever been anxious to push this largo and important local industry to the utmost; nothing will bo left undone to secure this end. The leathers referred to ' are, first: choice waxed patent and satin calf, Ooze's calf, Spanish cnip, butts (or porpoise) Dongola gloves, moustor, glove, and calf kid skins, <lace. kanearoo, wallawalln, waxed kangaroo and wnilaby, fancy tanned Persian roau enamelled hides, Levant seal, Levant skins and sides, waterproof Scotch grain, American buff, or satin hide hair, calf skins ; also colonial loatlvrs of every kind of tanning. '
