DEATH OF MR W. REYNOLDS.

Wb rournt having to record the death of an old and much-respected resident of Waikato, Mr Win. Reynolds, of Trecarne. Pukekura. who paused away at about il.oO p.m. on Monday last, at his residence, after a K<rief illness. Jin was 72 years of age, and had lived in Waikato a quarter of a century. Deeeasi-d leaves u wife and crown-up family (Mrs John dries and Messrs lfen'y and Richard Il.iynolds). who are all well known anil likewise inspected. The interment took place yesterday, at the Cambridge cemetery, Archdeacon Willis ofliciatinsr. The funeral corteiro was ono of the largest that ever passed through Cambridge, there heiug forty buggies and an equal number of horsemen following. The deceased gentleman was never known to say a bad word of anyone, and we believe was one of the very few that had not an enemy in the world, for we never heard of anyone that had aught but good to say of him. T'or many years he resided at (Lvynnelands, but about 1870 he sold the property and went to live at Trecarne, whore he expired. Much sympathy is felt for the family m their distress, but it must be .some slight comfort to them to know that no more honoured and respected resident of Waikato has passed away within ihe memory of the oldest settlers.
