CAMBRIDGE HORSE SHOW.

To morrow will be a gala day in Cambridge, the chief attraction of courso will be the show of all classes of horse stock. This is certain to bring a large influx of visitors from Auckland and other parts of the province as well as the settlers from the different parts of the district. All the arrangements in connection with the carrying out of the show are in a forward state, and with the experiences gained at the former Show, visitors will have an excellent opportunity of comparing the several stud horses, and of judging of tho quality of our locally bred homes. KAUM TMPLEMKN'TS. Messrs Kooth Macdouald ami Co., the well-known agricultural implement manufacturers of Cliriitchurch, will have a largo collection if their machinery on the ground including ploughs of all kinds, disc harrows, cultivators, windmills, etc. The trial of the pulveriser, a comparatively newly-invented machine lias unfortunately had tc,j be postponed, owing to a delay caused by press of work in the firm's shop at Christchnrch. Mr Greig, tho company's representative, who has for the last few weeks been visiting the different centres in Waikato, will be in attendance to explain and give such information as may bo required in connection with the machineryThe Walter A. Wood Mowing and Reaping Machine Company have also, through their agent, anil expert, Mr Pickering, arranged to exhibit one of tlmir renowned single-apron reaper and binder machines, alno their improved grass mower. This section of tho show will lend considerable attraction to the visitors. ■WIIITU YORKSHIRE FIOS. Now that tho bleeding and rearing of pigs forms 110 inconsiderable adjunct to many a fanner's returns, tho opportunity of obtaining pure bred stock will be afforded by Mr J. R. !S. Richardson, of Cambridge, who for some time past has devoted much care, and has expended a considerable sum of money in securing tho very best pigs of tho white Yorkshire breed, from the prize winners at the Christchurch and Auckland Shows. Mr Richardson's exhibits will be found near the show ground, opposite to the Cambridge post-nffice, and as the pigs will be shown of different ages, those interested will be enabled to judge of the merits of this particular breed as compared with the better known so-called "Berkshire," or tho moro numerous "Captain Cook's." MN'TKItTAIX.MKXT. In the evening a grand concert and dramatic performance will take place in the Public Hall. Miss Rimmer, the charming singer from Auckland, is down upon the programme for several songs. This, with all the best local talent, cannot fail to make the first part of the entertainment most attractive. Then comes the original farce, " Domestic Economy." With Mr Charles Tuck, what more is required to draw a bumper house? HOLIDAY. The Hamilton business people have declared a close holiday, and as all the available drags, buggies and wheeled vehicles have been put into requisition, there will be a large attendance of Hamilton poople at the show and entertainment. Uoth Mr ltarwood and Mr Sutton have laid on coachos at very reasonablo fares for the trip, and as there is every probability of tine weather, the enterprise of our Cambridge friends is likely to prove what everyone must wish—a most unqualified success.
