HAMILTON BOROUGH ELECTION
Theuk was a keen contest on Thursday for the election of three councillors to till the vacancies caused in the Hamilton Borough Council by tho retirement of Messrs Dey, Jones, and Tippen, whose term of office had expired. Tho contestants were : Mossrs H. M. Salmon, R. V. Sandes, W. Jones, and C. Tippen, and the election resulted in the leturn of Messrs Sandes, Salmon, and Tippen, the voting being as follows : — Sandes lie Salmon H6 Tippeo 98 Jones ,'° Mr Sulmon thanked the electors for tho honour they had conferred upon him, and he trusted that he should give overy satisfaction.
