Fowl wheat is not eagerly asked for,and business is restricted to small lines. Onions are only qtiotahle according to conditio)], which, as a rule, is very inferior. Cheese moves off in jronil quantities, but prices continue low D;,iry produce : There was a good demand at, auction for really prime, of which we had a food supply. The average rate was ft shade higher than last week ; second and lower qualities are difficult to quit, inquiries being limited. Keg butter : Supplies of local almost nil, and export orders have to be filled from other districts. Eggs miiatained last week's rates, supply and demand about balancing. Bacon and hams : A fair quantity quitted ; prices continue too low to bo profitable to the cirers. Fruit : We had several good consignment of apples,which realised from 2.M to Hid. Lemons are low, and so are other species of the citrus family. Poultry : Prices are payable ; competition is brisk for good of birds. Young Berkshire pigs meot with ready sale.
