SEVERE HURRICANE.
(lIV KLKCTUIC TKLKGUAHI. — UOI'YHKiHT.) Fakis, August 20. Nlews from tlio West Indies of ii hurricane at Martinique, a French colony states that every vessel at St. Pierre was destroyed and the town much damaged. Many persons were killed. Later information confirms the destruction of the vessels at Mfintinique near St. Pierre, in the West Indies. Altogether 13 vessels were swamped.
