Dillon Bell in the Agent-Generalship, and an announcement to this effect will probably be made shortly. . . Mr Percival was senior whip during the last Parliament, aud during the present session dischargnd the duties of Chairman of Committee. He is possessed of considerable means. He first entered Parliament as member for Christchurch South in 18S7, as a strong supporter of the Midlani Riil.vay and on the Stout-Vogel ticket, and was re-elected in the labour interest, along with Messrs Reeves and Taylor, for Christchurch City last December. Mr l'ercival is related by marriage, to Dr, Grace und the well-known Johnston family, of this city. He was a consistent advocate of State aid to Catholics. Mr Percival's appointment would createa vacancy in the Chairmanship of Committee, which may not be rilled during the present session.
