He was lying across the line at Kauohi, and when the train passed up tlm cowcatcher on the (lie eiiu'imi struck and throw l;iin oiF tl:e lino. Ti.o train w.o at "i;c<i stopped, and the inj'u?d lain picke.; up and t-iki'ii on to i!,.; iicvt st-itimi. lie airiv.ivl ill town by Ih' " 3"> train from Jlelensvillc. The police authorities had a constable wnitiiifj with nn ambnhinc« van at Mount Kden Station, to convey the injured man to the Hospital. The nature of his injuries have not yet linen ascertained.
