PECULIAR MARRIAGE.
(l!Y ELECI'ItIC TELEGRAPH—COPYRIGHT.) Loxdox, August 12. A somewhat remarkable case is now before tho Law Courts. A Miss Cooper, twenty-five years of ago, acccptedan invitation from her cousin, aged twenty, to visit St. Paul's. A cab was procured, but instead of going to the Cathedral, tho young man drove to St. Bride's, and terrorised his companion into marrying him, under the threat of committing suicide with a revolver. The same day he deserted his wife, upon finding that she had no money, and the lady is now suing to have the marriage declared null.
Miss Cooper's application to have her marriage with her cousin, into which she alleges she was terrorised, declared null and void, was refused.
