MONDAY.—(Before Messrs Primrose am;

MePheraon, J.P.s.) Fimiona Diuvino. — John MuN'icnl was ch iip;ed with a broach of the Borough bye-laws by driving over the Hamilton traffic bridge at other than a walking p-icc. The defendant, who was unable to lie present, wrote admitting tho offence, and was fined 18s and outs 2s.

Breach or tub Peace.—W. McLeish was charged with having assaulted his wife on the 12th Mty, and threatening to do her previous bodily harm. An order was asked that he might be bound over to keep the peace. Mrs and James McLeigh gave evidence to thn assault referred to, and to his general behaviour when drunk. The bench made an order that he keep the peace for six months, to he bound over on his own surety of £'50 and two other sureties of £25 each.

PKQHiMTioy. —A prohibition order was granted to W. McLeish on his own application for six months, at Hamilton, Whatawhata and Ngarnawahia.

DiiuxKRSVKHS. —James Black, charged with this offence, was out on bail, but did not appear. Finerl 10s nnd costs.
