(BY TKLEGHAt'H -OWN COKUKSFONDENT.) Auckland, Last Night. Tub Bay Colliery report shows increased outputs, aii'J ii dividend uf eight shillings per share (equal to four per cent.) for the half-year will bo declared.
All the unionist female employees employed in the tailoring establishment of Mr Woollams were called leu. at noon to-day, in consequence of Mr Woollams reducing tlio wanes of two hands and oncaging ono non-union hand. The girls (thirteen in ;dl) will get .strike pay.
The s.s. Richmond has arrived from the Islands. She brings news from Tahiti of the total wreck of the French despatch war vessel Volga, 500 tuns, no M ,n>han, in the PiUinuhta group, 'in 10th Ju'y. She had 200 natives on board, beside- M. la Cascade, Governor of Tahiti. The hull was pierced by ;i coral reef.
