RAILWAY DISASTER.
(by klecthio tei.kgkaph.— coi'YuiGtrr). Paris, July, 20. The majority of tbe deaths iu the St. Maude railway accident were those of women and children, who were mostly drowned or suffocated. The funeral of the victims took place to-day, and was witnessed by 23,000 people. The scene at the cemetery was heartrending. The clriver of one of the trains which came into collision has been arrested for disobeying the danger signals. The under-stationmaster at Vincennes has also been arrested. July 30. The survivors of the 3t. Maude railway accident, are instituting proceed iags for damages, and tho aggregate amount is £120,000.
