Auckland, Last Night. At the 11 as Company's meeting to-day, Mr Header Wood presided, and expressed regret that Sir l< , . Wliitsiker was unable to take the chair. He hoped that before thn next meeting he would bo snlliciently restored to health to occupy his old place. The business of the Company was progressing favourably. Tho consumption of gas for the past half-year wus greater than tint of the corresponding six months, ISilO. The directors felt justified in paying the same dividend—equal to 7s (id per share on fully paid-up shares, nnd 3s !)d per share on part paid-up shares. At tho Police Court to-day two boys were punished for breaking into a gum factory. Dr. Giles deplored ttio lack of parental control over the boys, and ordered a sttvei-rf birthing.
