News was brought in yesterday that an old native named Philip had been found dead en Saturday in his whare at a place called Waiomo, situated betwoeu Tahu and hsre. Philip, who had been ill for somo time occupied the wharc by himself and did not receive any inodical attendance. An inquest will be held. George Atkins was found dead in a waterhole near the foot of tho Waiotahi aqueduct on Saturday morning. Deceased, who was an old settler here, had been in the hospital for a few days but left unnoticed between four and five on Saturday morning. At an inquest on on Saturday evening a verdict of "Found Drowned " was returned.
