Sir. — Allow me to say a word in reply tj Sir Walter's letter of Thursday ; Lawyer like he has taken hold of the clean end of the stick when there was no occasion for such after tho matter was settled and the pole declared but Sir, has it not occurred to you that there) wero a large number of voters who used their votes on that occasion, aud that the correctness of the pole ought to be manifest by a direct question put to each of those who were said to have voted upon that occasion Duller would not do that.
