PARLIAMENT.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. THURSDAY. The Council met at 2.30 p.m. The Marriage Act Amendment Bill was further considered in Committee. Mr Wilson moved anewciause, its effect being to legitimatise children horn out of wedlock. After debate, progress was reported with loavo to sit again next Tuesday. The Council adjourned at 4.jj.j p.m. FRIDAY, The Council met at 2..'J0 p.m. The Aliens Act Amendment Bill was considered in dmmittep. In clause 3, Mr C. C. Bowen moved the oxcision of the words : " Not being of the Chinese race," the effect of the amendment being to place the Chinese on the same footing as other aliens. The amendment was agreeil to bv 1!) to 3. Progress was reported on the Bill, and the Council rose at 3.20 p.m.
