CARLOW ELECTION.
(UY ELECTRIC TRLKGIt.U'II — COI'YI'.ICHT.) Loxdox, July 7. The Tories of Carlow will vote for the I'arnellite candidate. A cardriver yesterday deliberately slashed Parnell with his .vhip. One of tho humours of the election is a fox with a kettle tied to his tail and hung on to a. tree. This is supposed to represent Kettle, the candidate, tied to Parnell. July 8. The election of a member for Carlow took place to-day. Mr HamniSnd, the seceding party's candidate, defeated Mr Kettle, the Paruullitc, by a majority of 2200.
