(BY TELEGRAPH — PRESS ASSOCIATION.) CHRISTCHURCH, Last Night. The well known sporting journal, the New Zealand '■ Referee " has been purchased by the Christchurch Press Newspaper Company. It will be incorporated with the " Weekly Press," but will be kept quite distinct from the other portions of that paper. DUNEDIN, Last Night. At the Land Board to-day Mrs Anne Matbeson wrote alleging dummyism iu respect to an application of John Mathcaon, her husband, to transfer three graziug sections at St. Rath, Taicri, to one Webb, a rabbiter on Poosou's run. After a lengthy enquiry the Board refused to grant the application.
