WAITOA ROAD BOARD.
Tiik ordinal y monthly meeting of the above-named Board was h'dd in the Nottingham Cufctlo Hotel, Moninsville, last Saturday. Present: Messrs Chepmell (m the chair), Ilanmcr, Honcll, Parr and Turnlmll. A letter was received from the Commissioner of Crown Lauds with schedule of " thirds " from deferred payment and perpetual leaso lands, due to the Board on the 31st May nit. The amount for expenditure now is £33 Us 3d, being i'3l 18s from deferred payment, and i>l lis 3d from perpetual lease lands. The Boaid decided to expend the money as follows : The perpetual lea.-.e money to bo expended in draining and clearing near tho Wiihv township. The deferred paymotit money to be expended as follows : t'l'3 l'Js lid on Mikkelseu's road ; £G 17b 3d along the pro perties of Mace and Kershaw : and £1 Os lOd on the road leading to Lot ill, Block XL, Te Aroha. The Engineer reported that the work on the Richmond road would be started at once. The woik near Holden's has been completed, and will bo an immense improvement in the neighbouihood. The Board decided very reluctantly to make a rate of a half-penny in the pound. Accounts amounting to £58 lis 3d wore passed for payment,
