(BY TELKORAPH. —PUESti ASSOCIATION.) Wklmngton, Last Night. Thb Labour Conference held its final sitting this morning. Tho last measure taken into consideration was the Slaughterhouse Amendment Hill, proposed by the Auckland Trades and Labour Council. Tho Bills were highly approved of, and recommendation of a minor character v»ill be mado to tho Government. Tho Conference discussed the New Zealand Labour Federation Scheme which includes direct benefits to members answering its provisions. It was decided to approach tli3 Government on the subject of the deplorable state of workers engaged in various avocations in the town and country districts alluded to by tho delegates, and it was also decided to bring tins matter under the notice of the Ministry. The resolutions passed at thn Conference will be conveyed to the Premier in writing.

The Employers' Conference finished its sittings this morning. The Government will be acquainted by letter of Urn resolution arrived at. Before separating, tho Employers' Conference had a disoussi in on the financial proposal:! of the Government, with the result that a resolution was passed condemning the overwhelming impost of a shilling Income tax and objecting to any difference being made between incomes. No objection was taken to the Income-tux per se, but the general feeling of the meeting was that traders had got used to the Property-tax and would prefer to see it left alone.
