I'llE town of Wngga is in a bad state in consequence of the heavy rains. The telegraph lines to Sydney arc interrupted, but messages which came through by way of Melbourne showed that last night matters wero in a serious condition, and tho town was being gradually flooded, and the gaH works are already submnrgud. One man has been drowned, and boats are badly wanted. The township of Hast Queanbeyan is inundated to the depth of six feet, and Terrara three feet. Stock and produce are being swept down the Murrumbidgce. Liter. The flood on the Murrumbidgee is within two feet of the memorable flood in 1852, when the old township of Gundaga was washed away and 81 inhabitants drowned. Although the water is now falling, the current is running with fearful force, and several houses have been washed away. Goodin and Worland are the names of the two men drowned at Gundaga. A relief party went out to rescue the men who were perched in trees, and took off four of them, but on the return journey the boat capsized, and tho men clung to snags for nearly seven hours. Out of a crowd who had collected on the dry ground only one man named True volunteered to rescue the unfortunate men. He started in a. boat by himself, and aftor two attempts he succeeded in rescuing all except Worland and Goodin. Mki.iiouhnk, Juno 20. Great floods are coming down in Gippaliimi. Snowy Valley is completely under water, and relief parties are out. The boat used by one of them capsized, and two men are missing. Many farmers aro almost ruined. m
