The main feature in the speech from the Throne was a reference to Federation and railway reform. It was announced that amongst; the measures proposed to bo submitted to Parliament for consideration was a Bill providing for a reform of the electoral law in the direction of adopting the on, man one vote principle and extending the franchise to women, and others dealing with local government.
