The Wangaoni Freezing Company's works were thrown open For public inspection to-day, when, notwithatunding the boisterous weather, a large number paid a visit to Custle Cliff, special trains being run. The works will be again open to-night, when the electric light will be exhibited. Everything is now in readiness tor freezing operations, which sta't on Thursday. CHRISTCIIURCH, Last Night. A man named .Sutherland was found dead at Waikaii yesterday morning. He left the station on Saturday morning with an empty dray and three horses. Later on the dray wa3 found capsized, lying across his neck. DUN'EDIN, Last Night. Mr Dutliie, confectioner, of Georgeiti'cet, died suddenly yesti rday afternoon iu an apoplectic tit. Sir Koticrt Stout gives a denial to the report that lie goes lloiue to conduct the Edwards' appeal, lie advised (lie liovernmeut a fortnight ago mi the subject.
