Wainuauo Road.—Mr Melvillu lias finished his contract for building the bridge across Firewood Creek on this road from Ngaruawahia to the Waingaro Hot Springs. Two or three other bridges are in a dangerous state and parts of the road have fallen into the creak leaving only about two feet in some places for the trailic, and in some places there is nothing b'lt hard limestone, which affords no footing for horses. Many a poor animal gets thrown into the swamp in wet weather, and the rider has to tramp for three or [our miles to get assistance to get it out.
