CIIRLSTCHURCH, Last Night. Ax enormous fish was stranded yesterday at Okain's Bay, and brought toLyttelton. It is 'JO feet loug, 1G inches through at the thickest part, aud resembles au enormous frosU-ish. It has uo scales or teeth, but two small fins and a large head, with several " suckers," about three feet long, attached, A seven-roomed house on the Canal Reserve, owned by Mr Schoolbraid, was burned early this morning, it is supposed through a defect in the chimney. The insurance was £300 in the National.
