An excellent programme wan provided, an l tho racing throughout was good. .\lr W. L. C. Williams tilled tlie judge's box, and .Mr R. Parr acted as starter, both gentlemen giving satisfaction, and Mr N. Anderson made a capital clerk of the course. The secretary, Mr W. Abbey, who also acted an cierk of the scales, was well up to his duties, which he carried out satisfactorily. The following are the results :— Maiden Pi..\tk.—Castanette, 1 ; Paddy, 2 ; Mistake, 3. Won by a length, Mistake a good third. Waihou Handicap. — Castanette, 1 ; Julia, 2 ; Hilly, 3. From a good start Minnie and B«tlo went away to the front, but Castanette, who was ridden with judgment, closed up in the last half-mile, and taking the load was never caught. Local Rack.—Castanette appropriated this also, Yarraman second, and Zebnoria third. Poxy Hack.—Rowdy, 1; Pipeclay, 2; Jack tlie Hipper, 3. Rowdy led from tho start, and won easily. KMX Jammehh' Rack.—Billy, 1; Zebnoria, 2. Won easily. Consolation'Rack.—Mistake. 1 ; Yarraman, 2 ; Julia, 3. Won on the post.
