The Government statistician has isBiiecl a return of imports and exports of the Australasian colonics for the year 1890. It is shown that the value of the imports, including those of New Zealand, was £06,455.000 and exports .£02,504,000 The total import of wool was 101),825,000 pounds, valued at £4,04!),000*; while the exports were 003,050,000 pounds, valued at £24,390,000. The total import of breadstuff's was 5,533,000 bushels, and the exports 111,350,000 bushels. IIonAKT, May 2;!, The general elections have proved disastrous to the Ministry. The Hon. G. P. Fitzgerald, member of the Ministry without portfolio, was defeated. The Government will have only a small majority, in the new house.
