A'J' the Postal Conference t-o-tlsiy an animated discussion took place in committee on tho question of tho voting power to lie allotted lo Auslr It was eventually decided that she should have only one vote, but that tlio delegates from each of the separate Australian colonies should lie allowed to attend ami take part in the discussions. The chairman intimated that Australia accepted admission to tin l Postal Union as from October Ist, the announcement being received with loud cheers. The subject of miritime transit was under consideration day, but 110 alterations were 111 a.de in any of tlio existing arrangements. The committee's report will come up before the Conference, for adoption on Monday.
