CAMBRIDGE CHRYSANTHEMUM SOCIETY.

Duri.vo the week a Chrysanthemum S.iciety has been formed in Cambridge, or perhaps we should say that a branch to the Auckland .Society haa been formed, for that id what it really is; and indeed the Auckland Society otTei* such spjendid inducements for people to join it, that we can hardly wonder at the Cambridge inhabitants taking the matter up with spirit; and that the matter has been taken up with spirit is evidenced by tho fact that not a single individual that has been asked to join in tha undertaking has refused. The fee is 5s por annum, and for that sum the Society undertakes to provide each subscriber with fa've chrysanthemum plants—a catalogue is forwarded to choose from—and in addition they supply a neatly printed book of direction:) for the culture of chrysanthemums. This is surely a good investment; and as the Cambridge branch already numbers thirty members, it will be the means of introducing 150 varieties of chrysanthemums into tho district next spring; i.e. provided they agree to each choose differently named plants. It will thus be seen that in a short time Cambridge will be able to have a show with a large variety of these interesting flowers. Wo wish tho society every success.
