SECULARISM.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir,— 'Impartial's reason of the Christian's morality' is quite erroneous. A Christian's duty towards Cod and his neighbour is not based upon mercenary motives, but upon love. That there are badly instructed persons who hold out happiness hereafter as the reward for good deeds done in this world cannot be denied, but such teaching is uuscriptural.—l am, etc, A. E. Tanmhere, Bth May, 1891.
