Tlie Congress at Ballarat have resolved to demand, on behalf of wageearners affected and threatened, immediate enactment by the various Parliaments of remedical legislation to cover the performance of all factory work in registered factories, the institution of a full lien upon wages due upon all work done, and the abolition of the contract system of Government works. BiusjiAyk, April 2.3. Cole, who is wanted in England on a charge of embezzling £30,000, has been arrested at lierbei ton, Pekth, April 27. The Attorney-General will pay a visit to England for the purpose of establishing an agency general.
