RIOTING IN INDIA.
MILITARY CALLED OUT. (liV ICLECTIUC'I'KI.KOIUriI— corvnifiiiT.) Calcutta. April IT. Skkious riots tire taking place at Benares, and the military have been culled out to protect tbe banks and other public buildings from the lavages of thn mob. April 18. The riot at Benares has boon quelled, but before pence -was restored the rioters wricked the British station, and plundered the treasury chest. The riot was occasioned owing to the razing [of a temple for a site for tbe new water-works.
