SCHOOL COMMITTEES.
Yrsteuday was the day throughout the colony for receiving nominations of candidates lor the various school committees. At Hamilton West there were only seven householders nominated, si that at the annual meeting on Monday next thero will be no voting necessary. The gentlemon nominated are Messrs Robert Bradley, Georgo Edgecutnbe, J. R. K Hatrick, James Hume, John Knox, John Parr, and R. F. Sandes. These gentlemen comprise tho old committee, with the exception that Mr Hatrick takes Mr Cox's place.
At Hamilton East, the following nominations were received: —Messrs William Day, John Steadman, William Allen, Charles Smith, Henry Tristram, James D. Melville and W. F. U=i!l. The first, live wnro on tho old committee, and Messrs Melville and Bell replaces Messrs Coates and Davoy. As the number nominated does not exceed the number required, no election will be necessary at the annual meeting of householders.
