The detachments under Lieutenants Grant and Prnsgrave have retired. The fate of the chief Semitarati, who provoked the revolt, and who was reported to have been killed .luring the engagement with Lieut. Grant's detachment at Thonul, is uncertain. Three, relief columns are rapidly massing at Kohinn, Sitchar and Tutu. Lieutenant ISoileau, wing officer of tho 2nd TSattalion of Ghoorfois, who escaped from Manipur, denies the statement of the usurper Jobraj, that women and children wero burned to death by tho Ghoorkas. Tho detachment under Lieutenants Grant and Presgroro havu joined Lieut. Leslie's column at Patch, 120 miles beyond Tiunu. intelligence has been received of General Graham's safe arrival at Tamu. Severe fight ing has taken place between tho British troops and the rebel Mironzai for possession of the fcjamana ridge. Alollahs are preaching ;it Joachad against tlto 75vitis.li authority, but the Att'vids tribe is still hesitating to join the rebels.
