British llagship Orlando (Captain Birlow) and the screw Kunbont Lizard (Liuutcnant-Conimandur Brewer) weighed anchor and left this port for Sydney. On arrival at Sydney the Orlsindo will remain there some time, and the Lizard will probably bo sent on an Island cruise.
Intelligence has been received that Bishop Selwyn has been seriously ill at Norfolk Island for some time past, having an attack of malarial sci.itic.-t, which lenders it exceedingly desirable th it hn should be removed from Norfolk fsliiin.l, where he is nt present located, to n lioultliiar place. The latest news received hy Bishop Cnwie was to the eflect that Bishop Solwyn was a littln better than previously reported, bat is strH very weak. Admiral Scott intends to cill at Norfolk Island, en mute to Sydney, and will take IJishop Salwyn on to the last-named port if ha feels so disposed. A distressing necident occurred this morning at Poland's flaxmill, Taukan, and resulted in William Sefton losing his arm. The lad, who is fourteen years of oge, was working at the machine when his arm was drawn in, with the distressing result that it was wronchod off at the elbow. Sefton was put on the down train from Waiknto, and arrived at the Hospital this afternoon.
