Tijk Government of the Argentine Republic has suspended payment of deposits in the National Provisional Banks until June next. Depositors have been ofl'ersd a, bonus for the dun payment of their deposits, and it is proposed to form both the banks into a State Bank. Loxuox, April 8. The Institute of Bankers has b»eti discussing the action of the Argentine Government with reference to National Provincial Banks. April 9. There has been a heavy collapse ill Argentine securities, the average fall being £■">. The Standard declares that the Argentine Government is bankrupt. Stocks have failed in London.
