At the Epsom Spring Meeting today, the Great Metropolitan Stakes resulted as follows: — Peragimunde, 1; Royal Gem, 2 ; Maypole, 3. The New Zealand Trotting Association ou Tuesday refused the application of the Canterbury Plumpton Park Company for affiliation as a trotting club, on the ground that there were already enough clubs holding trotting meetings in the neighbourhood of Christchurch in proportion to the population. The six-year-old gelding Loucly has passed into the hands of Mr John Ric, who, it is understood has become hie owner.
