EASTER SUNDAY.

St. Pktkk'.s Church, Hamilton, was very prettily decorate.! on Sunday, beintf the festival of the resurrection of the Saviour, aud the services throughout the day were tf a rpeeial character. The services were held, Holy Communion at a.m., Mat'iis and Holy Commonion at 11 a.m., and Evensong at 7 p.m., each beiug conducted by the Incumbent, He','. R. O'C. Biggs, who was assisted at Matins by Mr S. T. Seddou. Sermons having special reference to the great festival were preached both nfc Matins and liveusong, the text at the lormer being taken from the 10th verse of the SSth Psalm, and at the latter Irom the 3rd ami 4-lh verses ol the Itjth chapter ot St. Mar!;. The decorations owing to the lack of llowei'3 were not as extensive as in previous year;, but whit was done looked very pretty and relleeted great credit ou the ladies who undertook the work. The pulpit wis covered with red cloth, ou which was placed a lattice work of evergreens, surrounded by a wreath of white (Towers, which were set oil' by the red back ground. The font was very prettily done with evergreens and Iyeopodiums interspersed with white Ibwurs, and a white cross lloating it the centre. The other parts decorated were the altar rails, the dossel, the lectern aud the reading desk, and handsome banners were hung from the walls.
